Shop Gitana

Last Saturday I got the chance to meet with Roxy, the owner of this cute little boutique in Miami called, Shop Gitana.
While she always had a love for fashion and styling, Roxy went on a gut feeling when she decided to open up her very own store. The name is simple, Shop Gitana derives from the idea of being a gypsy. While she was styling for shows such as, Dancing with the Stars, E! News, and MTV, she was also doing traveling trunk shows and fashion parties for friends and family.

Everything in the store is hand picked by Roxy, I was finding so much to try on. All of the accessories and clothes were so fabulous. Her store is full of unique finds that can be dressed down for day and dressed up for night. The best part is everything is incredibly affordable. With all of the amazing items its hard to believe that almost everything is under $100.

This Thursday from 6-9pm Shop Gitana will be having their Grand Opening!

Playtime...

I wanna go downtown...

While in Chicago I met up with my good friend, Heather Talbert. She's an incredible photographer and I'm sure some of you remember the amazing shots she took of me last year. So I had been missing her like crazy and I was oh so happy that I got to meet up with her for lunch at a cute little restaurant called, State Lake in downtown Chicago.

27 & Design Bureau magazine is hosting an event on April 28th from 6-8pm that will be showcasing some of Heather's work. If your in the area you should definitely check it out! The event is celebrating furniture, fashion, and fine art... all while enjoying free cocktails. ;)

Plum Magazine Launch Party

So last friday night was amazing. I went to the Plum Magazine Launch party that was held at the beautiful Raleigh Hotel in Miami and everywhere you could think to look was glitz, glam, and action! When I first arrived I thought it was going to be a complete wash out because of the sudden unexpected rain, but the rain stopped and the drinks and entertainment began. This was probably the most outrageous party that I've ever been too. Everyone was dressed amazing and looking beautiful. When I made my way over to the bar I noticed a model hanging and doing tricks up in the air on what looked to be a hula hoop and behind me were ladies that were literally larger than life standing on stilts in dramatic patterned dresses. Dancers were every where, some with clothing and some were covered in body paint that looked to be clothing.

The entire courtyard was being utilized as an entertainment playground. As I walked toward the pool I noticed that there was a transparent platform directly over the water that was soon used as a dance floor. In the pool were giant bubbles with people wrapped in lights inside. Above the pool was a incredible DJ booth with a huge screen behind it.

The most amazing and unforgettable moment of the evening was when the Katy Perry song "Fire Works" came on and the most incredible firework show took place in the air above us. It was totally unreal and I didn't want the night to end. Check out some of the pics below!

I like it like it

It's kind of funny because the other day I was feeling a little gloomy so I decided to just go to the mall and try to shop it off. Bad habit that I tend to have, but I can't help it because pretty things and clothes just make me happy. So anyways back to the point... I stepped into the dressing room to try on a dress that ended up not fitting me and of course it was the only size. So I took the dress off and put my clothes back on and I thought "hey! I love my outfit... Who cares about the dress!" ;p

The end. That was my silly story.

SunDay FunDay

Yesterday, I needed a girl day. So me and my friend, Ginelle (A music enthused journalist.) went to the beach to spend the day. We headed over to the Standard hotel in Miami to attend a fabulous beach party. Good music, drinks, and food all while chillin with the partner in crime makes for a perfect sunday.

Im back darlings!!!!

I've been MIA for far too long, but the past few months I've been doing some traveling! I went to Chicago and New york and I have so many new pics to share with all of you. Lots of new stuff coming to the blog... I thought about starting a new blog, but Skinny Intern is just too good to give up. Love you guys! leave me some comments.
