Eyebrows.
Like? Love? Not quite. Try obsessed. If you remotely know me or my work, you know that I ALWAYS define the eyebrows unless threatened by the client and/or photographer. Eyebrows give definition and character to the face. A fuller eyebrow also makes one appear younger. (When I say full, I do not mean bushy. Big difference.) I prefer powder to fill in the eyebrows with a slanted brush. It gives them a softer, more natural look.

If you have unruly eyebrows, spray a spoolie (looks like a mascara wand) or your finger tips with a bit of hair spray and smooth over hair to keep in check. If you are brave enough to pluck them, go slow. Remove some hair and take a step back to see how they look. Baby steps with eyebrows are best.

Maggie Crisler is the designer. It started as a small project, but it has grown incredibly. These shirts are so cute! I bought some for myself and plan on buying more for my friends and family. Maggie's goal was to raise at lease $1000 to donate to the American Redcross fund by selling these t-shirts. Her and a few of her close friends have been hard at work... they have raised about $27,000 so far just by selling these T's! How amazing is that?! Last Saturday I got the chance to meet with Roxy, the owner of this cute little boutique in Miami called, Shop Gitana.
While she always had a love for fashion and styling, Roxy went on a gut feeling when she decided to open up her very own store. The name is simple, Shop Gitana derives from the idea of being a gypsy. While she was styling for shows such as, Dancing with the Stars, E! News, and MTV, she was also doing traveling trunk shows and fashion parties for friends and family.

Everything in the store is hand picked by Roxy, I was finding so much to try on. All of the accessories and clothes were so fabulous. Her store is full of unique finds that can be dressed down for day and dressed up for night. The best part is everything is incredibly affordable. With all of the amazing items its hard to believe that almost everything is under $100.

This Thursday from 6-9pm Shop Gitana will be having their Grand Opening!

While in Chicago I met up with my good friend, Heather Talbert. She's an incredible photographer and I'm sure some of you remember the amazing shots she took of me last year. So I had been missing her like crazy and I was oh so happy that I got to meet up with her for lunch at a cute little restaurant called, State Lake in downtown Chicago.

27 & Design Bureau magazine is hosting an event on April 28th from 6-8pm that will be showcasing some of Heather's work. If your in the area you should definitely check it out! The event is celebrating furniture, fashion, and fine art... all while enjoying free cocktails. ;)

Plum Magazine Launch Party

So last friday night was amazing. I went to the Plum Magazine Launch party that was held at the beautiful Raleigh Hotel in Miami and everywhere you could think to look was glitz, glam, and action! When I first arrived I thought it was going to be a complete wash out because of the sudden unexpected rain, but the rain stopped and the drinks and entertainment began. This was probably the most outrageous party that I've ever been too. Everyone was dressed amazing and looking beautiful. When I made my way over to the bar I noticed a model hanging and doing tricks up in the air on what looked to be a hula hoop and behind me were ladies that were literally larger than life standing on stilts in dramatic patterned dresses. Dancers were every where, some with clothing and some were covered in body paint that looked to be clothing.

The entire courtyard was being utilized as an entertainment playground. As I walked toward the pool I noticed that there was a transparent platform directly over the water that was soon used as a dance floor. In the pool were giant bubbles with people wrapped in lights inside. Above the pool was a incredible DJ booth with a huge screen behind it.

The most amazing and unforgettable moment of the evening was when the Katy Perry song "Fire Works" came on and the most incredible firework show took place in the air above us. It was totally unreal and I didn't want the night to end. Check out some of the pics below!

It's kind of funny because the other day I was feeling a little gloomy so I decided to just go to the mall and try to shop it off. Bad habit that I tend to have, but I can't help it because pretty things and clothes just make me happy. So anyways back to the point... I stepped into the dressing room to try on a dress that ended up not fitting me and of course it was the only size. So I took the dress off and put my clothes back on and I thought "hey! I love my outfit... Who cares about the dress!" ;p

The end. That was my silly story.

We headed over to the Standard hotel in Miami to attend a fabulous beach party. Good music, drinks, and food all while chillin with the partner in crime makes for a perfect sunday.

Not having much of a role to play for this particular shoot, except for maybe blogger status, I was pretty excited when I was invited to come along anyways. I made myself useful by taking notes and pictures during the shoot so that I could show you guys some behind the scene sneak peaks.

(An amazing fur coat, had to try it on!)

The styling was of coarse amazing! Fabiana Negron came prepared with all sorts of accessories, shoes, and incredible outfits. The theme was somewhat romantic and soft, shot on location by photographer, Julius Gregorio. Although, I was clearly aware that the shoot was going to take place outside, I was still stubborn enough to wear five inch high wedged boots. It wasn't long before I paid the price. As we walked toward the location I began to trail behind everyone... still I didn't care. I thought if I have to stand near this tall gorgeous model then I'm going to look cute too! A stumble here a stumble there... not too bad for rocks and sticks cracking beneath my feet. Then! I took the plunge. My ankle twisted and I fell right onto my knees. A few scrapes and little blood, great. I looked up and everyone was looking "Are you okay?!" Ah, yes I was indeed phyiscally ok, but super embarassed. Once we got back to the studio, Fabiana let me borrow some of her boots. Thank you!

Unfortunately the model had to leave early because of a casting at three o'clock. We shot all the looks but one. Sadly this happens way to often.

I like to take little moments and just admire my clothes. It's as if each individual piece or article of clothing is a work of art. Because truly that's what fashion is, another form of art and expression.

I'm totally jealous of my friend Fabiana's heaven of a closet. It's literally packed from floor to ceiling with the most gorgeous finds and the latest trends. Not to mention her shoe collection is so sick! She begins to tell me, " Ya sometimes when I'm sad I just sit in the middle of my closet and everything is better again" :)
I can totally see why... I wouldn't mind getting lost in there and never ever coming out.

Hey guys! It's been a while, but I've been super busy lately.

If you follow my FaceBook or Twitter then you probably already know that I was on TV last night! Thats right, I was Struttin Dat Ass on Miami's Deco Drive modeling jewelry thats keeping Hollywood frosted right now, Loren's Jewels.

While Loren Ridinger, the designer of the jewelry line was being interviewed for the show, me and two other girls modeled the jewelry while being filmed. It was so much fun and probably one of the easiest jobs i've ever had to do. Only two outfit changes and one look of make up. Which by the way looked amazing because of good friend and make up artist, Aileen Quintana. If you haven't already heard about Loren's Jewels by now then you must be hiding under a very large rock, because her stuff is everywhere and more. She is amazing and her best friends, Kim Kardashian and Eva Longorio can't help but to agree. It was like a big girls game of dress up with all of the gorgeous diamonds and jewels dangling from our ears, wrist, and necklines... not only was the jewelry to die for, but her estate was unbelievable gorgeous.

So last night, like a big nerd, I parked myself right in front of the tv and waited for the segment to begin. It was my first time doing anything for tv so I was pretty excited. Plus I told a lot of people to check it out and watch me, so I had to make sure I didn't look like a big goof ball. ;P Needless to say I think it turned out pretty good. Now if I could only share the video on here... hmm maybe i'll just record it from my DVR.

I cant believe they actually opened an H&M here in SoFla. Its been long over due and the rumors we're unbelievable until opening day, but they really did it! So as I begin my day with a lovely cinnamon soy latte that I actually made myself, I think i'll soon venture on over to H&M to see what they have. I'm thinking they might be sold out of a lot stuff considering they opened this past thursday, but I cant hold back any longer. I'll let you know how it goes!
