Friday NIGHT Freja

dutch land.

Potential and a future in fashion. Anna has this gaze that I cant get over.

torture me with all I wanted.

I want my issue of LOVE magazine already, HELP! At least I know I'll be able to get it sooner or later, unlike the latest issue of Mirage magazine that I am still dying to have. Its been out forever and I still cant find it here!\
I recently saw a blog post by another blogger talking about how she is moving and that she got rid of half of her magazines. I thought to myself, oh my, I don't know if I would ever be able to do such a thing. Everyone knows I'm beyond obsessed when it comes to buying and collecting magazines, with each one being full of so much talent and beauty, I could never just toss them out. What if, I got to the point where I had so many that I couldn't get around my house? Then I think I would qualify to be a crazy contestant on a reality show for something like True life: Im obsessed or better yet, Clean House. Wow... ok. Im getting slightly carried away considering my magazines only fill up one single book case and half of my desk. Not too big of deal, yet. I think the caffeine is getting to me tonight, because this is slightly random and doesn't have much to do with fashion. Forgive me!

OH! I almost forgot. Tomorrow night, the Prada show will be airing live at 7:00pm on their website. So tune in and watch. Im super excited.

The past re-discovered.

Is it safe to say that... studs... are OUT? I'm over it.

P.s.
I wish I could dress like this everyday. Can you imagine!

Fade in...

It's been long over due, but here is the editorial that we shot with MC2 model, Marlowe Daly. I think that she is an amazing model and she gave us exactly what we wanted. There was nothing she wouldn't try and she was so fun to work with. *good model gooood*
Paired with the remarkable talent of wardrobe stylist, Pipi Loose, along with makeup by Alvin Matium, and hair by Alicia Truc, the inevitable result was amazing pictures. Every outfit that was so carefully selected for the shoot not only looked incredible, but also fit Marlowe flawlessly! I guess you could say this is our version of "commercial" work, but we tried not to stray too far from our own style. I'm very happy with how it came out. I dreamed it up, Julius shot it, and the team made it happen.

Hope you guys like the pictures and the video! In all honestly, I’m having a really hard time deciding which magazine to submit these to - the styling credits are simply too good to waste!

Pay attention.

I love this new magazine!
Glossy Magazine released their fifth issue this month and it's chock full of fresh fashion ideas for spring and packed with some really creative talent. The Magazine even takes notice to some talented artist here in Miami by featuring new work from photographers Heather Talbert and Lucie Hugary. Glossy goes above and beyond to find new talent wether it be bloggers, photographers, fashionistas, and/or writers. Unlike other magazines who feature the same photographers every issue, it's a breath of fresh air to finally to see a magazine showcase emerging artist.
I am excited to see more from this magazine, it is one of my favorite online magazines to read right now.
Go buy the latest issue of Glossy here!

XOXO

Alexander Wang show is about to start OMG!

Courtesy of NYCFiona(twitter), I was able to get this picture of Blogger Tavi, interviewing Agyness Deyn backstage at the Alexander Wang show.

Oh Agy

Oh my goodness, she is just so cute. Its not often that she walks the cat walk these days, but Agyness Deyn took a big spill last night at the Haiti Relief benefit. After laughing it off and getting back up, Agyness fell again! With the audience cheering her on, Agyness recovers and takes off the towering Burberry sandals and takes a bow. Maybe she is still getting use to that bowl haircut...

OMG!! I CAN NOT DEAL WITH STUPID UNGRATEFUL MODELS!!!
On a shoot today.. sigh .. BREATH!!!

BCBG

Freeeeja. Friday

Best Freja Friday ever... ps her eyes are closed in almost every picture in the actual editorial. Just sayin.

edit: I posted two other pictures of her in this post. Coincidentally, they were the ones of her wearing McQueen... but photobucket deleted it. How weird is that?

RIP

British Fashion icon Alexander McQueen commits suicide...
I am devastated...

edit: 9:30p.m.

What a very unfortunate way to start off Fashion Week.

I thought all day about what I would write in my blog post regarding Alexander McQueen's death. My phone blew up this morning with phone calls and text messages about about the news. I honestly did not believe my friend Daniel, who was the first to call and tell me that McQueen had killed himself. When I finally came to the realization that it was unfortunately true, I was crushed. He was an amazing designer to say the least and words can not describe how sad I feel about this. Today I lost someone I looked up to and practically idolized in fashion.

News that I gathered from other blogs that I just don't have the energy to post into my own words...

"News of Alexander McQueen’s death broke right as guests were taking their seats for theBCBG Max Azria runway show Thursday morning. Some in attendance appeared to learn the news before the start of the show, including Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, who disappeared momentarily with her BlackBerry while waiting for the show to begin. She returned well before the lights dimmed and whispered to her entourage with a concerned look on her face. She watched the show but ducked out right before the final rundown."- Heard on the Runway

"AS news of Alexander McQueen’s death rippled through the tents of Bryant Park, where the fashion world was gathered Thursday on the first day of the New York collections, there was shock at the loss of a designer of outsize talents, perhaps even genius".- NY TIMES

"We are devastated to learn of the death of Alexander McQueen, one of the greatest talents of his generation. He brought a uniquely British sense of daring and aesthetic fearlessness to the global stage of fashion. In such a short career, Alexander McQueen’s influence was astonishing — from street style, to music culture and the world’s museums. His passing marks an insurmountable loss."- Anna Wintour
